BAMAKO SIGI KAN

Set in Bamako, capital of Mali (West Africa) this unconventional documentary tells the story of film director Mr Manthia Diawara to his home town. The experimental digital video images os cinematographer Arthur Jafa adds intriguing layers to the many contradictory voices in the film. Ali Farka Toure, Salif Keita, Malick Sidibe and Aminata Dramane Traore and several others form the character of this powerful documentary.
