NELIO'S STORY

Tells the story of Nélio, a little African boy who loses his whole family in the civil war in Mozambique. He is taken to a training camp for boy soldiers but manages to escape and, after a long run, reach the capital. Nélio becomes the leader of a group of street urchins, who gradually come to believe that Nélio is a "curandeiro", that he can cure diseases and raise the dead. His reputation grows and people come to him for help. But the war catches up with him.
Based on a novel by Henning Mankell.
