hope the pitanga cherries grow – tales of luanda

Angola - 30 years of independence, 3 years of peace. Luanda, the capital - a city built for 600.000 people is now home to 4 million.

At this crossroads people from all of the country's provinces meet each other and the outside world. People are the life of the city. They transform it by inventing ways to make money, by discovering their talents and by reinventing themselves.

But it is their stories that allow them to live. Who are these people? Ten characters guide us through different ways of living and interpreting Luanda.
