RETURN TO NACALA

"More than 25 years after I left, I felt the urge of going back and walk along this road that I know by heart, the road of my childhood..."
The road followed in this film is the Nacala's road, a coastal city in the north of Mozambique. A trip made by the daughter of former colonisers along the traces left by the Portuguese colonial adventure, the independence of the country, and the ones caused by 16 years of civil war and the hardness of a socialist regime.
While old friends and some youngsters tell her about the present society, the narrator dares to go back to the past providing a key for a better understanding of the actual situation in Mozambique.
