DANCE AFRICA
A brand-new dance contest show designed to provide a platform for original freestyle dancers on the African continent. This 26-part series follows the competition, beginning with the preliminary rounds in seven African cities.
A fascinating compendium of unique dance styles from different parts of Africa, the show is both kinetically entertaining – some of the dance moves appear literally incredible – and of broader cultural interest as African and Western styles meet, mix and match on the dance floor.
Two dancers from each city are selected go forward to the finals in Johannesburg, where the 14 finalists take part in a dazzling dance-off that leaves only one remaining to be crowned Africa's ultimate freestyle dancer.
